The wins keep coming for Doechii.

For her most recent accolade, the “Anexity” rapper has been named the 2025 Woman Of The Year honoree at the annual Billboard Women In Music celebration. Taking place on Saturday, March 29, the star-studded event will be held at the YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, California.

Continuing to make HERstory, Doechii is the second rap artist to win the award, following Cardi B in 2020. Also, the Florida rapper is just the third artist to win the Rising Star Award, which she won in 2023, to Woman of the Year, along with Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande.

The 2025 event will also honor aespa (Group of the Year), Ángela Aguilar (Breakthrough Award), Erykah Badu (Icon Award), GloRilla (Powerhouse Award), Gracie Abrams (Songwriter of the Year), JENNIE (Global Force Award), Megan Moroney (Rulebreaker Award presented by Crown Royal Whisky), Meghan Trainor (Hitmaker Award), Muni Long (Rising Star Award Presented by Honda Stage) and Tyla (Impact Award presented by Bose).

In a statement, Hannah Karp, editorial director of Billboard, lauded Doechii for her one-of-a-kind artistry.

“After receiving the Billboard Women in Music Rising Star Award in 2023, Doechii is taking pop culture by storm, this year becoming the third woman in history to win a Grammy best rap album, and dazzling fans of every musical genre with her breathtaking performances, ultra-candid lyrics and utterly unique sound, style and spirit,” explained Hannah Karp, Editor-in-Chief of Billboard, in a press statement.

“We are thrilled to celebrate Doechii and cheer on her continued success,” the statement continued.

2025 is becoming a banner year for Doechii. Her latest project, Alligator Bites Never Heal, peaked at No. 14 on the all-genre Billboard 200. Her singles, “What It Is (Block Boy)” and “Denial Is a River”, have charted in the top 30 on the Billboard Hot 100. At the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, 

Emmy-Award winner Laverne Cox, will host the event live on VIZIO WatchFree+ at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
