Janet Jackson Celebrates Her Son’s Eighth Birthday
Janet Jackson‘s son, Eissa, received a heartfelt message from his superstar mom for his birthday. Eissa, who Jackson shares with ex-husband Wissam Al Mana, turned eight on Jan.3. The “Rhythm Nation” singer hopped on Instagram to share the moment with her fans as she gave Eissa the sweetest tribute.
“Hi, sweetheart; I just want to say that I’m so proud of you and the young man you’re becoming. You are so creative, you are so kind, you are so loving, and you are really smart,” Jackson says in a short video. “You’re so talented, [and] you’re very brilliant baby, and I’m so proud of you and proud to be your mama. I love you so much; happy eighth birthday. I love you, baby.”
Janet Jackson’s Kindness Knows No Bounds
Throughout her career, Janet Jackson has more than proven herself as a top entertainer, but many may not know that she’s also built a reputation for her kindness. Earlier this year, Eve spoke about how Jackson‘s kindness nearly saved her life. In her memoir Who’s That Girl, Eve recalls a time she drank a spiked drink at a 2007 VMA’s after party. “Missy came in to check on me, but I was just unable to collect myself. Then who walks in, Janet Jackson,” the rapper wrote.
“I had never met her before, and so her first introduction to me was seeing me hysterical. None of that mattered to Janet; she actually just sprang into action and told people to get aspirin, water, hot sauce, and a piece of white bread. That concoction knocked me right out of my hysteria. So basically, Janet Jackson saved my life.” More recently, comedian Katt Williams shared that despite his numerous jokes about her late brother, Michael Jackson, Janet showed him grace after briefly running into one another. “The fact that years later, Janet Jackson said she still loved me despite the jokes that I told about her brother is probably one of the most magnificent things, you know?” the comedian told Vulture.
