Kali Uchis Earns Two New RIAA Certifications
Music from Kali Uchis‘ 2018 debut album Isolation is still in heavy rotation. The 2021 Best Dance Recording nominee has received a platinum and gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).Â
“After the Storm” featuring Tyler, the Creator, and Bootsy Collins has reached platinum status. It makes her first platinum plaque as a lead artist and her second platinum success shared with the 2020 Best Rap Album winner.Â
Uchis lands a certified gold single with “Dead to Me.” It was crowned a standout track when Rated R&B named Isolation as one of the 25 best R&B albums of 2018.Â
In 2020, Uchis released two projects: To Feel Alive and Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios). The latter release marked her first Spanish-language album.Â
At the 2021 Grammys, which will now air on March 14, Uchis is nominated for Best Dance Recording for her contribution to Kaytranada’s song “10%.”Â
