The singer has had to pull out of her DC and Pittsburgh dates this week.

Celine Dion has postponed two shows on her Courage World Tour this week, but unlike so many other artists calling off shows due to the spread of COVID-19, the singer told fans it was because of a more routine virus. “Due to the common cold, Celine Dion postpones Courage World tour dates in Washington, D.C. and Pittsburgh, Pa.,” the singer wrote in a Facebook message.

The affected shows were slated to take place on Wednesday (March 11) at Capital One Arena in D.C. and Friday (March 13) at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh. The gigs have been rescheduled for November.

“On Monday night, a day after completing a six-show run in the New York area, Celine began feeling the symptoms of a common cold,” read the statement. “The symptoms persisted into Tuesday, and her doctors instructed her to rest for the next 5-7 days. After testing her, the doctors concluded that her virus was not related to COVID-19.”

Dion apologized for disappointing her fans in Washington D.C. and Pittsburgh and said that performances are expected to resume on March 24 in Denver at the Pepsi Center.
